top marks must go to the bed – I always thought that our bed at home couldn’t be beaten…

Ultra spacious double room

Peacock Royal and Red Spot Duke, our two most spacious bedrooms, open onto a wide verandah that traces the house almost in its entirety, dotted with cane chaise longues, reading chairs and antiques. Ceiling fans and four-poster beds with mosquito nets. Luxurious bathroom with a bathtub, drench shower and double basins.
